You’re in your early twenties, about to finish your bachelor’s degree. Things get real. For perhaps the first time in your life, you realize that you have a choice. Do an internship? Follow a master’s degree? Start working at a Startup? Take some time off and volunteer in developing countries? It’s up to you. Nowadays, we live in a world with endless opportunities. If you are serious about a thing, you can make pretty much any change imaginable in your life. The only limits are the ones you are setting for yourself.

Does this make things easier? Absolutely not. We all are subject to the fear of missing out to some extent. Saying yes to one opportunity means saying no to another. You are always making a tradeoff. So what do you go for? You do what seems most defensible. You do the thing your peers are impressed by. You act in accordance with the implicit expectations of your social environment. Is that the most unique choice you could make? Is this what you truly want? The only person to answer this is you.
